Hi, all:
I am reviewing googlepay's in-app-billing, and find the desciption of
purchase return is not consistency with the reality. I create an sandbox
order, but actrually it return me an orderid. According to the offical
pay-document described like attachment, it will not return an orderid parms!
page url is
http://developer.android.com/intl/zh-cn/google/play/billing/billing_reference.html
;
However, in a word: I want to distinguish our order is sandbox order or not?

Verify expecting yours help! thx!

Hello, everybody.
I am making a android app with in-app billing function.
If you have some experience about it, please help me.
Thank you for your attention.

There are some good blog articles online with concise information. You can
fill in the rest by reading Google's documentation though I wouldn't say
that documentation is Google's strong point.

Hello all,

I'm doing my best to develop an app for high-speed camera capture.
Unfortunately, it's difficult to work with
createConstrainedHighSpeedCaptureSession since there are no samples
available anywhere. Would it be possible for this community to come up with
a small set of sample code?

For instance, there is a
https://github.com/googlesamples/android-Camera2Video, but changing it to
contain a high speed request is a bit confusing. Where I'm having trouble
is specifically calling the camera requests. One must create a list,
instead of using the request builder due to the need to use
setRepeatingBurst. That said I run into several issues. One being that the
createConstrainedHighSpeedCapture is supposed to produce a CameraConstrainedHighSpeedCaptureSession
; but I don't see how to do that since createConstrainedHighSpeedCaptureSession
actually produces a CameraCaptureSession.

Basically, all I'm asking for is sample code for:

createConstrainedHighSpeedCaptureSession

with an onConfigured callback

inside the onConfigured one needs to use createHighSpeedRequestList and setRepeatingBurst

If a sample for just that piece could be created I would be very
appreciative.

If you are only getting 8000 sps then even with interpolation to 44100 you
would never see any signal above 4000Hz in an FFT, right? Are you windowing
the FFT?

If there are truly problems like this with the audio firmware on the LG G3
and Nexus 7, I haven't heard any reports from my users about them. That's
not to say there can't be an issue, of course :-) If I were you, I would
obtain a cheap used G3 on Ebay to test with.

hey,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm setting the scroll flags and scroll behaviors,
here's my code (below). The issue with AppBarLayout as a first child is
that whenever I set it inside of a relative layout, which is a child of the
CoordinatorLayout, the scrolling behavior doesn't work. I guess I wasn't
clear enough - it should be somewhere in the direct children of the
CoordinatorLayout, if it's a child of a child, the coordinator layout
doesn't pick it up.

My issue is not with the scrolling behavior - that works perfectly fine. my
issue is that the content is overlapped by the app bar. The only way to fix
this is to use a relative layout and set layout_below, but then the
scrolling behavior stops working.

android:cacheColorHint="#00000000"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"/>
</com.orangegangsters.github.swipyrefreshlayout.library.SwipyRefreshLayout>

I've also tried moving the list view outside of the SwipyRefreshLayout -
didn't change anything. Also want to clarify that i am setting the
following in code, so that I don't have to use a RecyclerView or another
view that supports nested scrolling - because the ListView on its own
doesn't support nested scrolling, and coordinator layout's scrolling
behavior expects a content view which supports nested scrolling:

listview.setNestedScrollingEnabled(true);

ViewCompat.setNestedScrollingEnabled(listview, true);

Thanks again,
Angel

The error says it all and is clear. The class ProcessRegister *MUST*
contain a method doinBackground. This is simple Java. Read about abstract
classes/interfaces and you will understand.

You shouldn't have to use a RelativeLayout. Putting a views in a
coordinator with the right scroll flags and scrolling behaviors set should
lay them out correctly.

Without more to go on, I'm guessing you're missing scroll flags or a scroll
behavior.

You should post your layout and screenshot of what it looks like.

Use the website as the developer name in the Google Play console. Settings
/ Account Details / Developer Profile / Developer Name.

But are you sure you are getting the sample rate you asked for? How would
you know? As you can see from my very first posting, all the checks you
are doing here work fine for me too, and I actually do get the number of
samples per second I ask for. But they are not true samples. They have
been faked by up-sampling. The system takes 8000 samples per second and
then duplicates each sample enough times to make up 44100 or 22050 or
whatever. But I know those samples are not true samples because I see
aliasing around 4000 Hz in the frequency spectrum. Unless you specifically
look for this problem by testing with a pure tone above 4000 Hz and analyze
with an FFT and look for aliasing below 4000 Hz, everything will appear
fine. Again this only happens on a very few models - specifically the LG
G3 and the Asus Nexus 7.

I have my files on GitHub if anyone would like to dig into it. Its a small
project right now with a single button and two activities.
https://github.com/mouse51180/NewActivityTest

I dont know why the OnClick is having an issue and dont know what or where
to look to correct this. My suspicions are that something needs to be
changed or added to the MainActivity.java file.

The button itself has the "onClick" parameter set to "onButtonClick". Im
not sure is this might be were part of the problem is as well.

*MainActivity.java file:*

package com.xplore_scuba.xplorescuba;

import android.content.Intent;
import android.support.v7.app.AppCompatActivity;
import android.os.Bundle;
import android.view.Display;
import android.view.View;

public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
}

public void onButtonClick(View v)
{
if(v.getId() == R.id.btn_calendar)
{
Intent i = new Intent(MainActivity.this, Display.class);
startActivity(i);
}
}
}

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

What you posted should work. This could easily be an Android bug.

An easy workaround would be to set the click handler yourself - which is
more obvious and explicit anyway. In onCreate:

findViewByID(R.id.btn_calendar).setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener()) {
...

Hi, I don't know what you did nor did I see the video, but try to do the
following things:

first, give an id to your button, let us call it *calender_button*.

The in the below example do it like this:

public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

Button calender; *(<--- this is step 1)*

@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);

//set the button, like *(<--- this is step 2)*

calender*= ** (Button) findViewById(R.id.**calender_button**);*

calender*.setOnClickListener(this); **(<--- this is step 3)*

}

public void onClick(View v) *(<--- step 4; I am using the case/scenario here so as to allow you to add more buttons later on; it will also work with just one button)*
{
if(v.getId())
{
case R.id.*calender_button*:
startActivity(new Intent(MainActivity.this, *yourNextActivity*.class));
break;
}
}
}

Try this and let me know how it went

Hi Michael,

look at my first answer I corrected your MainActivity ;-)
niks <niksap1@gmail.com>: Jan 29 07:01PM -0800

I also forgot to mention:

I ASSUME that you have added both activities to your manifest!!!
Otherwise, when clicking your button and the next activity is about to be
lunched your app will crash!

exact problem. Can you please test your app using sample given at github. I
have tested the sample given and it seems to be working fine for your
problem statement.

I would like to use a CoordinatorLayout so that my toolbar can hide
automatically when my content view (which supports nested scrolling) is
scrolled.

The problem is that the coordinator layout always expects an AppBarLayout
as its first child, therefore i cannot put a relative layout in order to
adjust the positions of my content view relative to the toolbar. What
happens is that the content view starts from the beginning of the screen,
and the toolbar overlaps it. If i use a relative layout instead of the
coordinator layout, then everything is fine, because i can set layout_below
on the content view, but then the toolbar is not automatically "shrinked"
when i am scrolling the content view.

Can you think of a solution to this problem? I've got all my layout_height
settings adjusted correctly.

Thank you

I moved from Eclipse to AndroidStudio some months ago. I use the same
keystore for Eclipse and AndroidStudio. It works.

Hello everyone,
I wonder if there's some way to overlay a View over the Navigation Bar.
I have an app which handles a color filter ovlaying the whole screen, but
starting from KitKat it's not covering the Navigation Bar anymore. I've
read it's a system restriction and I suppose it's mean to prevent abuse
from malicious apps, but I'm having many complains from my users asking to
cover the Navigation Bar, and it really is annoying when the filter doesn't
cover that area.
I'm able to lay the view behind the navigation bar, so the filter is
applied almost correctly when the navigation bar is translicent, but the
navitation buttons remain too bright over the filter.

Here's some code, I'm adding this view from a Service throught the
WindowManager#addView method:
This is the code I'm using to create and add the view:

final int overlayFlags =
WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_LAYOUT_IN_SCREEN |
WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_NOT_FOCUSABLE |
WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_LAYOUT_NO_LIMITS |

WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_TRANSLUCENT_NAVIGATION |

WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_TRANSLUCENT_STATUS |
WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_DRAWS_SYSTEM_BAR_BACKGROUNDS;

this.dimmerLayoutParams = new WindowManager.LayoutParams(overlayType, overlayFlags, overlayPixelFormat);

this.dimmerLayoutParams.gravity = Gravity.TOP | Gravity.LEFT;
this.dimmerLayoutParams.x = 0;
this.dimmerLayoutParams.y = 0;

this.dimmerLayoutParams.width = screenWidth;
this.dimmerLayoutParams.height = screenHeight;

this.windowManager.addView(dimmerView, dimmerLayoutParams);

Some notes:
- The *WindowManager* is obtained previously and referenced in an instance
variable.
- *screenWidth* and *screenHeight* are obtained also previously by various
system-dependant methods which are out of scope, also setting the size to
10000x10000 works but consumes more memory.
- *dimmerView* is also created previously, and it just a new View() with
the service itself as context.

Ok now these are the results that I've got changing *overlayType*:
- SYSTEM_TYPE_OVERLAY: Lays over thw whole screen but behind the navigation
bar, so the navigation buttons and ofter the navigation bar itself "glow
furiously" as a user described, specially during Lollipop's battery saving
mode.
- SYSTEM_TYPE_ALERT: Behaves just like the SYSTEM_TYPE_OVERLAY, though I've
found this one supports touch events
- SYSTEM_TYPE_ERROR: In ICS and JB devices it lays efectively over the
navigation bar, but starting from KitKat it doesn't even lay behind it, it
just avoid the Navigation Bar area.

Has anyone faced this problem? Is there any solutions to this? I'm open to
hearing (in this case, reading) any suggestions.

Thanks everybody!
Mike

Mobile subscribers are growing exponentially, but the telecommunication
infrastructure is poor. This has lead to a situation called as Call Drop.
Call drop is one of the major concerns among the mobile subscribers. I am
here to discuss the issue and provide a solution.

step toward solving the problem.

Great App I tried and currently using it. If you count the number of call
drops then this app is the best solution.

Hello everyone,

We have a problem on our product. We need to rotate the LCD screen to 180
degrees, but not the HDMI.

We are using a riotboard based on imx6Solo SOC.

To do that, we put "ro.sf.hw_rotation=180" in our init.rc, and make
following changes to
frameworks/native/services/surfaceflinger/DisplayDevice.cpp file :

// In DisplayDevice::setProjection(...) {

if (mType == DISPLAY_PRIMARY) {

if (property_get("ro.sf.hwrotation", property, NULL) > 0) {

switch (atoi(property)) {

// ...

case 180:

displayOrientation = DisplayState::eOrientation180;

break;

...

With android 4.4.2 (kernel 3.0.35), it rotates the LCD screen but keeps the
default 0 rotation for external displays (eg HDMI), which is good.

The problem is, we need to switch to 4.4.3, and in this version it rotates
the HDMI screen too (with kernel 3.10.53)

We have looked at differences in android code source, but so far no luck.
we suspect it might be a difference in the kernel code ?

Thanks guys for your help

Hey,

I'm new on Google Play and want to launch my first app but I have trying to
find the right week day when it would be best to publish it regarding of
the potential featuring. For example, for iOS you need to publish the app
on Thursday (Wednesday night 00:00 when the Thursday starts).

So is there a same story in Google Play (when the featured list updates on
Play) and when I should be publish the app?

Is there something else I should know about getting featured on Play (of
course there are many things you you need to know :) ) but I mean more
like: on iOS you will not get the featuring (I mean very likely) if you
have published your app already etc (you need to launch it on a same day
when the featuring list start changing). Is it same way on Play, or on
google you can have the opportunity to be featured any time, even if you
have published you app long time ago?

I am trying to replicate the Google App Engine Servlets module [here][1]
using Retrofit instead of AsyncTask.

I find it odd, but apparently Retrofit 2.0 does not support connections to
Google App Engine, as stated [here][2] in the issues of the GitHub
repository.

As a result, I am using Retrofit 1.9 and OkHttp 2.3 dependencies.

I have created a project called "Retrofit Test" in the Google Developer
Console, and Google has supplied me with a URL for the project:
"http://retrofit-test-1203.appspot.com" with the subdomain as
"http://retrofit-test-1203.appspot.com/hello. These will be my respective
URL's for Retrofit. Below is my code:

Gradle:

apply plugin: 'com.android.application'

android {
compileSdkVersion 23
buildToolsVersion "23.0.1"

defaultConfig {
applicationId "com.troychuinard.retrofittest"
minSdkVersion 16
targetSdkVersion 23
versionCode 1
versionName "1.0"
}
buildTypes {
release {
minifyEnabled false
proguardFiles getDefaultProguardFile('proguard-android.txt'),
'proguard-rules.pro'
}
}
}

dependencies {
compile fileTree(dir: 'libs', include: ['*.jar'])
testCompile 'junit:junit:4.12'
compile 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.1.1'
compile 'com.android.support:design:23.1.1'
compile 'com.squareup.retrofit:retrofit:1.9.0'
compile 'com.squareup.okhttp:okhttp:2.3.0'

}

MainActivity:

public class MainActivity extends AppCompatActivity {

//set the URL of the server, as defined in the Google Servlets Module
Documentation
private static String PROJECT_URL =
"http://retrofit-test-1203.appspot.com";
private Button mTestButton;

@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
Toolbar toolbar = (Toolbar) findViewById(R.id.toolbar);
setSupportActionBar(toolbar);
mTestButton = (Button) findViewById(R.id.test_button);

//Instantiate a new UserService object, and call the "testRequst"
method, created in the interface
//to interact with the server
mTestButton.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() {
@Override
public void onClick(View v) {
//Instantiate a new RestAdapter Object, setting the
endpoint as the URL of the server
RestAdapter restAdapter = new RestAdapter.Builder()
.setEndpoint(PROJECT_URL)
.setClient(new OkClient(new OkHttpClient()))
.build();

UserService userService =
restAdapter.create(UserService.class);
userService.testRequest("Test_Name", new Callback<String>()
{
@Override
public void success(String s, Response response) {
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(), s,
Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();

}

@Override
public void failure(RetrofitError error) {
Toast.makeText(getApplicationContext(),
error.getMessage(), Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show();
}
});
}
});

}
}

UserService (Retrofit)

public interface UserService {

@POST("/hello")
void testRequest(@Query("name") String name, Callback<String> cb);

}

My Servlet:

public class MyServlet extends HttpServlet {
@Override
public void doGet(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp)
throws IOException {
resp.setContentType("text/plain");
resp.getWriter().println("Please use the form to POST to this url");
}

@Override
public void doPost(HttpServletRequest req, HttpServletResponse resp)
throws IOException {
String name = req.getParameter("name");
resp.setContentType("text/plain");
if(name == null) {
resp.getWriter().println("Please enter a name");
}
resp.getWriter().println("Hello " + name);
}
}

As you can see, I have set the project up so that I make a server request
on a button click. Similar to the Google App Engine Servlets module, I am
expecting to receive a response from the Server, which I then display as a
Toast that says "Hello + (whatever parameter entered into the
.testRequest() method, which is "Test_Name" in this case. I am receiving
the error below, any help/advice on my methodology is appreciated:

I am beginner to maven and finding it difficult to migrate my project from
gradle to Maven. For Push notification code, that I have using from below
link in gradle environment is working fine:

https://developers.google.com/cloud-messaging/android/start
But when I am trying to use it in my Maven and adding the following
dependency to my pom.xml file. As suggested by following GITHUB link:
https://github.com/google/gcm/issues/23
Dependency :
<dependency>
<groupId>com.google.gcm</groupId>
<artifactId>gcm-server</artifactId>
<version>1.0.0</version>
</dependency>
And when I am trying to define receiver in my manifest file, I am getting
the error.Not able to import any of the Cloud Messaging API in my code.

<receiver android:name="com.google.android.gms.gcm.GcmReceiver"
android:exported="true"
android:permission="com.google.android.c2dm.permission.SEND"

<intent-filter>
<action android:name="com.google.android.c2dm.intent.RECEIVE" />
<category android:name=
"gcm.play.android.samples.com.gcmquickstart" />
</intent-filter>
</receiver>

Able to run in Gradle environment successfully but now due to some client
requirement I need to migrate my project to Maven. And using the below
version for GCM in my Gradle:
compile 'com.google.android.gms:play-services-gcm:8.3.0'
compile 'com.android.support:support-v4:19.1.0'
Please help me to resolve the error.If you need any more clarification,
please do let me know. Thanks in Advance. Thanks for the help.
